The Greater Houston Black Chambers (GHBC) recently hosted its monthly networking lunch, this time at the Buffalo Soldiers Museum. This month’s focus was on state politics, as members of the 85th Legislature were featured, along with special guest speaker D.A. Kim Ogg. Chair of the GHBC, Courtney Rose, along with other GHBC members and guests, were treated to critical information about important legislation out of Austin and the impact it will have on our community. Elected officials on hand as panelists included state representatives Senfronia Thompson, Shawn Thierry, Ron Reynolds and Jarvis Johnson. Other attendees included Nicque Montgomery, Steven Farmer, Monica Glover, Ellis Hubbard, Hiram Smith, Fern Dawkins, Joy Lacy, and more
