The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) recently held its 5th Anniversary Houston Mayor’s Luncheon celebrating the organization’s support of students in pursuit of academic excellence. More specifically, the event supported Houston-area students as they move forward in their collegiate journey. Greetings were given by Khambrel Marshall (KPRC, Channel 2), and a State of Education for Minority Students address was offered by UNCF National President and CEO Dr. Michael Lomax. In addition, Huston-Tillotson University senior Taleah Moore provided a personal testimony to the work of UNCF. Attendees included Angela Hall Watkins, Delton Pierce, LaJuana Sanford, Jeff Shaw, Jonathan Kee, Pastor Reginald DeVaughn, Crystal Hadnott, Stephanie Paige, Tamarian Carter, Knetha Jones and many more
