African Fashion Week Houston (AFWH) is the city’s premier international fashion series highlighting the essence of African fashion and style via fashion shows, educational seminars, industry-focused workshops and special campaigns. The annual week-long experience runs through Oct 27 and promotes world-class designer collections that push the envelope while staying true to the traditions of Africa and the diaspora. The week kicked off with the Jaajo Dance Experience at Soundbox Studio. Attendees for that class included Mbere Monjok, Sarahi, Cameron King, Maryanne Nnake, Anyang Anyang, Akinyi Adoyo, Sandra Allison, Lawrencia Nkadi and more.
