Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee called upon Houstonians to join her and Mayor Sylvester Turner to welcome back to the city the former first lady of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings. Duni Hebron, president and CEO of the Emerald Group, provided opening remarks at the event which took place in City Hall’s Legacy Room. Also, a dramatic performance preceded Eric Edmonds, editor of the First Lady’s book “It Takes a Woman,” facilitating a conversation with Agyeman-Rawlings on a number of topics.
