Houston City Councilmember Dwight Boykins played host to his 5th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Kwanzaa Celebration. The Third Ward-centered event featured numerous food trucks, children-friendly activities, fireworks, ice skating, a fashion show by Melodrama Boutique and entertainment galore, including New Cupid, the Houston Boys Choir, Brian Jack & the Zydeco Gamblers and more. Attendees included Jackie Adams, Helen Eli Muhammad, Kandi Easmon (Majic 102.1), Christian Stevenson Winn, Derrick Decatur, Amari Walker, Italo Johnson, Deloyd Parker, Donna Franklin (KTSU), Tamika Woods, Kenny Ortega, Elmer Angel, Ron Jemison Jr., Alberta Sinnette, Sherri Juniel and countless others.
