The Harris Health System honored one of its own recently, naming its administration building after longtime volunteer extraordinaire and newly retired Board Chairman Elvin Franklin Jr. Franklin served in various capacities over his 31 years on the Harris Health System board, helping to provide high quality health care to hundreds of thousands of Harris County residents. Anne Clutterbuck, chair of the Harris Health Board of Trustees, facilitated the event which featured presentations by Commissioner Rodney Ellis, State Representatives Dr. Alma Allen and Senfronia Thompson, Henry J.N. Taub II, chair of the Harris Co. Hospital District Foundation, and others. Attendees included Ann Franklin, Dr. Rhonda Franklin, James Brown, Lois Moore, Sheron Bruno, Zahra Ahmed and more.
