The Houston Black Leadership Institute (HBLI), an intentional development program for the next generation of Houston’s African American leadership, recently celebrated its Class VI graduation. With the newest 23 members of the HBLI to complete its intense nine-month program, the movement now has over 120 of the city’s best and brightest young professionals who are capable and willing to positively affect the social and economic challenges facing our communities. The ceremony took place in the Amegy Bank Building and was sponsored by the Greater Houston Black Chamber. Attendees included Diane Maben (Amegy), Carol Guess, Errol AllenII, Erica Hubbard, Jevaughn Sterling, Nwamaka Unaka, Amandi Rhett, Michelle Johnson, Warren Broadnax, Dr. Melissa Rector, Taylor Miller and many more.
