The Houston Black Real Estate Association celebrated 68 years at its Award and Installation Gala at The Power Center. HBREA offers scholarships, training, home ownership assistance and counseling to low-to-moderate income individuals. Special guests included honorary chair Mayor Sylvester Turner, master of ceremonies Isiah Carey and keynote speaker Roland Martin. During the gala, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson-Lee and Congressman Al Green delivered proclamations. The gala served as a fundraiser to support HBREA community initiatives that educate and help current and potential homeowners in the Houston Area. In attendance were HBREA President Kimberley Barnes-Henson, Ann Frank, Denise Austin, L. B. Reynolds, Anthony Norman and many more.
