TSU’s Thurgood Marshall School of Law (TMSL) Student Bar Association (SBA) hosted a lecture by the Honorable Judge Kenneth Hoyt as part of the school’s Black History Month celebration. Hoyt, a TMSL graduate, is the senior judge in the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Texas, appointed in 1988 by President Ronald Reagan. Hoyt shared personal lessons gained over the course of his 35 year career, for achieving success in the face of adversity. On hand were TMSL professors Martin Levy and Lupe Salinas, SBA officers Tim Adams and Nekketta Archie, and several others including Maegen Bradley, Jasmine Yates, Joanne Nwadgu, Mischa Montgomery, Mayra Stanton, Julian Jones, Susan Bynam, Derrick Wilson and Tatiana Harasim
