The Missouri City Juneteenth Celebration Foundation hosted three free events as part of its 16th Annual Juneteenth Celebration: the “It Takes a Village” Community Art Exhibit; “One Mile of Smiles” Parade; and Festival Under the Stars which featured recording artists Chante Moore and Howard Hewett. Also performing and hyping up the crowd was Katumbella an international singer from Angola. The food, fun, games and music was enjoyed by children and adults alike. Attendees included festival organizer Derrick Woods, Charles & Brielle Terrell, Oscar McGarr, Frances Payne, Fandenia Greigg, Pastor Dennis Young, Wanda Anderson, Mo City Councilman Jeffrey Boney, Wendell Manigault, Regina Smith and scores more.
