The My Voice Matters Movement recently hosted the My Voice Matters Millennial Mixer, a brunch connecting Black millennials in an atmosphere that promoted connection, community, conversation and consciousness. Millennials had an opportunity to engage one another on a wide range of topics including education, entrepreneurship and politics. Participants were encouraged to complete a survey found at MyVoiceMatters.org. The event was underwritten by Pastor D.Z. Cofield of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church, and facilitated by Rev. Chris Johnson. Attendees included Tasha Owens, Carmen McLaurin, Kyle McClue, Rob & Landi Spearman, Adamma Ibe, Nazia Frank, Rashad Cave, Breeana Campbell, Melissa Herman and many more.
