TSU’s College of Liberal Arts and Behavioral Sciences hosted the State of Black Women in America touching on a myriad of issues that reflect Black women’s holistic well-being. Event coordinator Dr. Carla Brailey facilitated a panel discussion that addressed pay equity, the #MeToo movement, parenting, entrepreneurship, faith, and more, and featured panelists attorney Cha’ mira Keener, HISD Trustee Jolanda Jones, Dr. Tomiko Meeks, psychologist Dr. Alauna Curry, Dr. Michon Benson-Marsh, and Kandice Webber, organizer of the recent March for Black Women Attendees included Nile Stribling, LaToya Akinyosoye, Dr. Kristopher Chrishon, Katrina Bowman, Reginald Christy, Shanice Walker, Abidemi Omoloja, Judge Fredericka Phillips and others.
