The United Negro College Fund (UNCF) Houston chapter, Neil and Maria Bush, Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Dr. Nicole McZeal Walters and more than 900 supporters gathered for the 30th Annual A Mind Is Gala to raise money to send 700 local students to colleges and universities next school year. Morris Day & the Time had attendees doing The Bird, The Walk and more, including UNCF Director Michael Lomax, Doug & Winell Herron, Chris & Divya Brown, James Davis, Juana Collins, Mayor Sylvester Turner, Angelica Webster, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee and others.
