Nicki Minaj will not testify in her brother’s child rape trial

As her brother Jelani Maraj stands trial for allegedly raping his 11-year-old girl stepdaughter at the time, rumors, fueled by Maraj’s own attorney started to spread. In opening arguments for the trial that began last week, Maraj’s attorney claimed that Minaj was supporting her brother, standing behind him and was set to testify on his behalf.

But according to TMZ, sources close to the rapper have confirmed that this is not the case.

Apparently, she will not be involved in any way in Jelani’s court case.

Maraj’s lawyer also told media outlets that Nicki was going to testify that the mother of the alleged victim attempted to extort her for millions of dollars.

When TMZ reached out to Maraj’s lawyers, they said, “I have no idea. We’ll see.”

Unless she plans to come forward and condemn his actions, it’s best that Nicki stay as far away from this mess as possible. Her brother’s DNA was literally found on this girl’s pajamas. Not to mention a 10-year-old boy, the brother of the alleged victim recently testified that he saw Maraj on top of his sister with his underwear around his knees.

According to Page Sixthe little boy, who was eight-years-old when he witnessed the incident, said:

“What happened was I was looking for [her],” the boy said, referring to his then-11-year-old sister, who has accused Maraj, their stepdad, of repeatedly raping her. “My pencil broke and I didn’t have any others.”

The boy, who was 8 at the time, said his sister’s pants were “around her ankles.”

“I saw his underwear close to his knees,” he testified about Maraj.

He said when he left the room, Maraj followed him, asked him what he’d seen and then slapped him.

As difficult as it was to even type those sentences, there is absolutely no way to defend the actions detailed within them. Since there’s nothing Nicki Minaj can do to erase these alleged actions, distance is best.
