Campus administrators, teachers and Fort Bend ISD staff filled the auditorium at Marshall High School for an inspiring message from Dr. Pedro Noguera.
Dr. Noguera’s presentations focused on how principals, teachers and campus staff can create a positive school climate and culture, and how staff at central administration can better support their campuses and students.
Superintendent of Schools Dr. Charles Dupre opened each presentation with a few words of encouragement to the staff before introducing Dr. Noguera. FBISD Board President Kristin Tassin and Board Trustee Grayle James were also in attendance during the morning’s presentation, along with campus administrators, principals, counselors and teachers from all FBISD schools.
Dr. Noguera’s visit to Marshall High School also had a special significance because June 13, 2017 marked the 50th anniversary of Thurgood Marshall’s appointment to the Supreme Court. Marshall was the Court’s 96th justice and its first African-American justice. He served on the Court from October 1967 until October 1991.
