he second round of recipients has been announced for $28.9 million from the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund.

The funds will be distributed to 90 local non-profit organizations that will provide financial aid and services to Houston and Harris County flood victims.

The fund was founded by Mayor Sylvester Turner and County Judge Ed Emmett to organize all of the donations from Houston and Harris County area residents. It collected more than $100 million and with Wednesday’s announcement, more than $36 million has been distributed.

The funding is expected to support these organizations’ efforts over the next 120 days.

The city says the third round of recipients is expected to be announced by January.
