May 16 is Good 4 Green day in Houston in honor of Larry Green

People wore green and paid tribute to late Houston City Council member Larry Green during a vigil on Tuesday evening at the Houston Police Department Southwest substation. Green was the District K councilman when he passed away in March.

May 16, which would have been Green’s birthday, has been declared Good 4 Green Day in Houston. During a visit to Isiah Factor Uncensored, Carol Guess, Donald Perkins and Niles Dillard introduce an initiative in partnership with District K that encourages Houston residents to do something good for someone else.

Acts of kindness are just one prong of the initiative. Other elements of the initiative include civic engagement and community enhancement.
