The Houston area’s recovery from Harvey’s historic flooding is going to be long-term.

There is also the potential for a catastrophic repeat.

In an effort for transparency, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner launched this week the Post Harvey website, which will inform residents and other government officials exactly what needs to be done in the wake of the storm.

The site details Houston’s request for federal funding and the projects which aim at lessening flooding in the future.

The page goes into details about the city’s need for block grants, disaster loans, and environment reviews.

It will be updated to include new reports and opinion pieces about the funding efforts as well as other relevant documents.
