It seems every week, there is a new Black-owned restaurant popping up in Houston.

And we are talking about your traditional soul food or barbeque restaurants. We’re talking fine dining at its finest and culinary delights that will have you coming back for more … and more.

Houston’s Black-owned restaurant explosion has been so strong that for some, reservations have to be made weeks in advance and people travel from across the country just to have these experiences.

We are in the middle of Houston’s Black Restaurant Week, which is the perfect opportunity to check out places like The Honey Hole, Breakfast Klub, Chopnblok, Mo’ Brunch & Brews, Lucille’s, The Peach Cobbler Factory, Quotes, The Fox Trap Restaurant & Lounge, Park Place Katy , and the list goes on.
