It seems like every presidential election cycle goes the same way: Democrats take the Black vote for granted and forget to court it until the very end.

Many Black people, particularly Black men, felt that way this election cycle with Vice President Kamala Harris not speaking much on the Black agenda until recently, with her numbers in the community lagging behind the support Joe Biden received from us four years ago.

Feeling the pressure of a close race in the upcoming Nov. 5 election, Harris has turned up the volume on what Black Americans can expect from her in exchange for our vote. Is it too late? Has she done enough to garner support from the Black community?

The Defender Roundtable weighs in on these questions and more in our latest discussion.
