It was just the other day that I said ‘Happy New Year,’ and now I’m back to do it again. I can’t believe how quickly the year went by.

This year reminded me how fast the ground can shift under our feet. Every story we covered showed some kind of change, but the ones that resonated with me the most were those shaped by AI. Adapt or get left behind is the moral of the story, and it will be a part of our lives whether we like it or not.

It was the reality across every corner of the media. Audiences moved faster, creators worked smarter, and the gap widened between those who embraced new tools and those who waited too long.

What stood out most was how AI stepped out of the background and took center stage. It shaped scripts, visuals, music production, ad strategy, and fan engagement. It helped creators move with more intention and helped audiences find content that felt personal.

This was the year AI stopped being a quiet assistant and became a real creative partner. The people who leaned in found new reach, new impact, and new confidence in their work.

2025 was another learning curve, and I look forward to seeing how things unfold in the months ahead.
