Former TSU Board chair, Albert Myres, discusses the future of Texas Southern University.

Aswad Walker
I'm originally from Cincinnati. I'm a husband and father to six children. I'm an associate pastor for the Shrine of Black Madonna (Houston). I am a lecturer (adjunct professor) in the University of Houston Main Campus's African American Studies Department and have done that since 2004, teaching "The Black Church in America," "Black Liberation Theology." I have authored five books and contributed to the Frederick Douglass Encyclopedia, Journal of Black Studies. FUN FACT: I graduated from the greatest high school in the universe, Willowridge High School, and started as an offensive guard on our undefeated 1982-83 state championship football team that went 15-0.
