The Houston Area Cluster of The Links, Incorporated recently held The Black Wellness Expo,” an event aimed at reducing health and economic disparities and saving and improving lives in the Black community.

This effort in Houston’s historic Greater Third Ward is aimed at addressing the top five medical conditions within the catchment area/census tract, structural determinants of health, i.e. the multiple health, educational and economic disparities that negatively impact the health and quality of life for many in this community. The local event is a part of The Links, Inc.’s nationwide Black Family Wellness Expos, which aims to leverage its entire membership to improve outcomes for Black families.
