Last weekend, I attended Comicpalooza, Texas’ largest pop culture festival, which took place from May 24 to 26, 2024, at the George R. Brown Convention Center. This year’s event was a star-studded affair, featuring special guests Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd and John Cena. Fans reveled in the opportunity to meet these celebrities, collect autographs and share memorable interactions.
A standout feature of Comicpalooza is its vibrant cosplay scene. Cosplay involves dressing up as a favorite comic book or movie character and is a cornerstone of the festival’s appeal. This practice, reminiscent of Halloween, sees attendees donning a variety of costumes, ranging from professionally crafted outfits to imaginative, handmade designs.
