Soul came to the Royal Palace at the wedding of Prince Harry and American actress Meghan Markle. Millions around the world watched as Harry, sixth in line to the British throne, married Markle, the daughter of an African-American woman and white man. Black celebrities in attendance included Oprah Winfrey, actor Idris Elba and tennis queen Serena Williams. Markle rode to the ceremony with her mother, Doria Ragland. Black moments at the wedding included a stirring sermon by the Episcopal bishop Rev. Michael Curry, a performance by gospel group Karen Gibson and the Kingdom Choir and a cello selection by 19-year-old Sheku Kanneh-Mason.
