Actress Meagan Good has openly discussed her relationship with Jonathan Majors, revealing she’s standing by him despite his recent legal issues. In interviews with the “Today” show and People magazine, Good shared insights into their relationship and her decision-making process.

Good, who is currently promoting her new movie “Divorce in the Black,” acknowledged that friends advised her against dating Majors due to his ongoing legal troubles. However, she emphasized her commitment to trusting her judgment. “At the end of the day, one thing I know is that I can always look myself in the mirror when I trust my spirit, when I trust God, when I ask God, when I move to the beat of my own drum โ€” I can always look and say, ‘I’m proud of that,'” Good stated on the “Today” show.

The actress further explained her stance, saying, “I’m the one who has to live my life. I’m the one who has to get to heaven one day, prayerfully, and give God an account of what I did.” She praised the strength of their relationship, highlighting the mutual support and understanding they share.

Interestingly, Good revealed in her People magazine interview that Majors initially tried to dissuade her from pursuing a relationship with him, out of concern for her well-being. Despite this and the challenges they’ve faced, Good remains positive about their bond. “It’s crazy because even with everything that’s been going on, this is the happiest I’ve been in a long time,” she confessed.

Good’s decision to stand by Majors comes in the wake of his conviction for misdemeanor assault and harassment in December 2023. The actor was sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence intervention program but avoided jail time.

As Good continues to navigate this high-profile relationship, she remains focused on her career, including her role in Tyler Perry’s latest film, which she hopes will help people “feel seen” during difficult times.
