Flo-Motion Dance Association held its First Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Gala at the historic Eldorado Ballroom. The event was held to raise awareness and money, benefitting its community partner, Susan G. Komen.
FMDA is a 501C3 non-profit dedicated to preserving the art of African American dance in the Houston community. FMDA offers free Houston 2-Step classes to youth at SHAPE community center. Performers were; Kent Sharp and Ann Williams, Master Redd and Tatyana Smith, Frankie Mitchell and Darren Harris.
The host was C. c. Sutton. In attendance were founder and lead instructor Jay Owens, Bobby Scott, Gene Norris, Loretta Norris, Frank Thomas, Marietta Willis, Kevin Johnson, Shaunda Barnes and many more
