The NFL recently hosted 300 kids from the Houston area at the George R. Brown Convention Center. The children were chosen to take part in a free Character Camp on the field of the NFL Experience Driven by Genesis as part of the NFL PLAY 60 Character Camps program, a partnership between the NFL and the Muñoz Agency, led by Pro Football Hall of Fame offensive tackle Anthony Muñoz.

Over the course of three hours, the young fans in attendance enjoyed lessons on exercise and the importance of character in athletics and in life, in the form of lessons on football skills. Children in attendance at Monday’s event were able to interact alongside Muñoz, and got firsthand experience playing with a professional athlete.

Part of the NFL’s year-round Hispanic outreach initiative, the PLAY 60 Character Camps focus on offering youths opportunities to come in contact with the game of football. Over 60 camps have been held since the beginning of the program in 2012, impacting more than 20,000 youths across the country.
