Okay, we have faced the reality that the 2024 Presidential Election didn’t go as many had hoped.
In a month, Donald Trump will seize control of the White House and Oval Office for the second time. It wasn’t pretty the first time, and his cabinet selections suggest things could get worse.
We also have companies and higher education institutions scaling back necessary DEI policies, while the conservative-driven Project 2025 threatens to eliminate critical social gains this country has made over decades.
Much of the weight of it all seems to be headed directly at the Black community. But we aren’t at all powerless.
These next four years are forecasted to be rough, but the hope is that the Black community will be galvanized in ways it hasn’t been in decades. It’s essential that we understand our community’s needs in economics, education, mental health, spirituality, and many other areas.
