The question hasn’t been subtle at all.

People of all races, genders, and walks of life have questioned whether America is ready to elect a woman, particularly a Black woman, as President of the United States. Many have also questioned whether world leaders will respect Vice President Kamala Harris as the most influential leader on earth.

But when you look at Harris’ background and credentials, the question seems to be how America could not be ready for a leader who has checked far more political boxes than her Republican counterpart, Donald Trump.

In 2016, America came close to electing Hillary Clinton as the first woman President. We will find out on Nov. 5 if this country is ready to make the leap.
