It seems people were divided after rap artist Kendrick Lamar’s Super Bowl halftime performance: either you liked it, hated it or just didn’t understand what was going on.

The older generation fell overwhelmingly with the latter.

But now that it has all been explained, we know it was a straight diss track that took aim at what’s going on in the world, attending President Donald Trump and rap adversary Drake. Chances are much of the symbolism went right over the heads of everyone but Drake.

But what was the Super Bowl the platform for symbolism and settling beefs?
