Students in the Fort Bend Independent School will have an opportunity to explore HBCU’s, thanks to an effort by The Mu Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Students across the district are urged to attend the college and career fair to learn more about HBCUs.

“We want schools that are rich in the tradition of fostering academic and civic achievement of students from diverse backgrounds, to be considered as a potential option for continued academic achievement,” said Ruthleen Robinson with Alpha Kappa Alpha.

The Educational Enrichment Expo offers several ways to prepare and support students in fulfilling their higher-education goals. You are welcome to participate with the college fair, career fair, hands-on S.T.E.A.M activities, student and parent discussion workshops and student support exhibits.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2016 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm at Willowridge High School (16301 Chimney Rock, Houston, Texas) and is FREE and open to the public.
