Beyonce’s longtime pastor appeared on TMZ Live today after news surfaced of his role in the singer’s efforts to help Hurricane Harvey victims in her native Houston.
Rev. Rudy Rasmus from St. John’s United Methodist Church said one part of the plan is “to gather as many supplies as we can, knowing that in the next few days when the skies start clearing, people are going to be in intense need of items that they just right now, many have lost in the homes through the flooding.”
Rev. Rasmus said the singer usually keeps her charitable efforts out of the media spotlight, and that Bey will likely neither confirm nor deny an online rumor that she has already donated $7 million toward Hurricane Harvey efforts.
