Defender hosts exclusive State of the Black woman roundtable

Some of Houston’s who’s who gathered to discuss issues affecting Black women at the State of Black women roundtable. Community, professional, faith and business leaders collectively worked to establish the agenda of the most pressing issues involving Black women and how to address them. The roundtable was in preparation for the Black Women’s Summit, which will be held Sept. 21-22 at the Barbara Jordan Institute at Texas Southern University.
