Lakeview Elementary recently teamed up with workers from NALCO Champion for Junior Achievement (JA) Day. The partnership allowed employees to step into fifth grade classrooms to help students explore different types of careers they pursue after high school.

NALCO is a strong community partner with the school and the JA Day is just one piece of this partnership. Plant Manager Chris Gonzalez and his scientists have gone to the campus numerous times for different meetings and events. They’ve done experiments with LVE’s Boys Club, presented at Career Day, and assisted with other projects around campus.

“NALCO is a true partner and we are grateful they are part of our Lakeview family,” said school counselor Beth Mullins.

Junior Achievement is the world’s largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.
