Teach for America hosts school leaders of color conference in Houston

Over 400 Teach For America alumni and staff from around the country will attend this event designed to give principals and other educational leaders an opportunity to reflect and mobilize on topics of concern.

The Collective, Teach For America’s National Alumni of Color Association, in partnership with the TFA School Leadership Team and Teach For America-Houston, is proud to host the 5th Annual School Leaders of Color Conference for current and aspiring alumni school leaders of color. This annual event provides spaces for reflection and strategies for action as participants learn from leaders in Houston and across the country. Participants are gathering for this conference at a time of heightened awareness for how topics of race, immigration status and systemic oppression in our country are impacting students. School leaders are working to address these issues in an effort to generate solutions for communities.
