Texas megabus is renamed ‘The Lone Star Bus’ after great state

Austin’s Deputy Director, Marc Williams, was joined by megabus.com representatives on March 8th at the megabus.com stop, 1500 San Jacinto Blvd., Austin, TX, to unveil “The Lone Star,” a double decker bus, which has been named to honor the state of Texas.

The “Name the Bus” campaign was launched by megabus.com in the 33 states they serve, as well as the District of Columbia.  Customers of each state had the opportunity to participate in the naming of a bus that they felt was heavily associated with their state or a piece of their state’s history.

In Texas, megabus.com has stops in San Antonio, Dallas, Houston and Austin. megabus.com provides service between these  four cities and connects with Illinois, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri and Louisiana, as well.
