During the days following the presidential election, women across our nation began to rally together in solidarity to stand against racism, misogyny, bigotry and hate. The solidarity of American women gave birth to the Women’s March on Washington. womensmarch.com Over 100,000 women and girls from all over the nation will march on Washington on January 21, 2017. More than 300 of those women and girls will represent Houston, TX.

Women & Allies has partnered with the Women’s March on Washington- HTX to support the efforts of our Houston representatives. Nisha Randle, the Houston organizer for the Women’s March on Washington- HTX, stated, “I watched in disbelief as Trump won the presidential election on November 8th. I couldn’t believe MY country elected a man that has been so openly misogynistic and degrading to women. I decided then, I was going to do everything I could to protect the interest of women and all marginalized populations.”
