After eliminating the No. 1-ranked Class 6A team (Katy) in Texas during the Region III finals, Atascocita didn’t blink while facing the top-ranked team in the U.S. for the 6A state softball championship in Austin. The 35-7 Lady Eagles came from behind twice to defeat Comal Canyon 5-3 and secure the first state team title in school history. “We have a never quit attitude.
