Everyone loves to make predictions about what new things are going to go down in the coming new year. Well, here’s my crack at it. Let me know what you think.
Crockett wins, Trump poops
U.S. Senator-elect Jasmine Crockett verbally beats down the Donald so bad that he literally poops his Depends during a televised address/tirade.
Black athletes flex their muscle
Black college and pro athletes force their respective leagues/sports to postpone their seasons as rising Black consciousness moves players to stop displaying their talents for the amusement of racist “owners,” university administrators, and fans until the demands of a new Black Manifesto are met.
The Blackening 2
The vast majority of Blackfolk experience a Great Awakening and permanently part ways with anti-Blackness in all its forms. Left and right, brothers and sisters reject white standards of beauty and white theology that centers a Eurocentric reading of scriptures (whether in white, Black or “mixed” places of worship). In mass, we stop throwing the vast majority of our dollars towards businesses and other institutions that “forever be trying to play us.” The few skinfolk not down with this new program officially submit their applications to become honorary whitefolk. And even though a new racial category is created (off-white) to recognize them, they’re still treated like third-class citizens. “Ni@@a!” (that’s a callback to the movie The Blackening… you had to see it)
The Third World unites
The Third World (which, by the way, was a term created by members of the global majority of Black, Latinx, and Asian participants in a famous set of back-in-the-day conferences) begins to perfect and strengthen the moves it started in 2025 to set up systems of trade and mutual aid between its own nations. These new systems and partnerships no longer rely on oversight and intervention from the U.S. and other Western nations. Entire new economies and systems of commerce emerge as global forces while the economies of racist Western nations continue to implode.
MAGA revolt
Trump and MAGA-World ban all Black professionals (engineers, healthcare workers, lawyers, mechanics, scientists, teachers, artists, entertainers, etc.) from working unless they wear a scarlet letter “N”. Though some Blackfolk bow down and give in, the vast majority don’t, and the entire U.S. economy collapses along with every industry imaginable. Devastation and squalor dominate the landscape, except for areas where Blackfolk have created self-determining communities. Millions of MAGA faithful revolt against their “messiah,” until Trump blames the total collapse of America on us. Revived by hate, MAGA troops then attempt to move on Black communal strongholds, vowing to destroy these modern-day Black Wall Streets. But the scientific and creative ingenuity possessed by Blackfolk, once freely given away to various employers, is now being utilized for us, by us. So, Black communities are capable of withstanding any attacks. But the attacks never come, because there’s no one available to fix all of MAGA-World’s broken stuff.
Extra: GOP redo
The GOP removes all pretense of caring for the common man and woman, and facilitates the largest reverse Robin Hood transfer of wealth in world history. At a record level once believed unimaginable, Republican elected officials create policies that move more money and services away from the poor and middle class, and transfer them to folk who are already hyper-wealthy. The wealth gap approaches $5 trillion, a move that hampers the U.S. economy so severely that America’s economy begins to collapse, along with America’s standing on the global stage. Individuals who voted for the elected officials responsible for this mass theft from the vast majority of the American people grow in anger and resentment daily. But they continue to allow the elected officials to redirect their anger towards Black people, immigrants, and members of the LGBTQ community. Any and all problems with society are blamed on these scapegoats, which allows the GOP lawmakers to continue to rob from the poor and give to the wealthy. Oh wait… that was 2025. But don’t worry. They’ll be operating from this same playbook come 2026.
