For the record, Phaedra Parks has no interest in returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. TMZphotogs caught up with the 44-year-old mother of two at LAX airport and asked her, if the opportunity was on the table, if she would be interested in returning to the hit Bravo reality TV series. She said the piece of mind and happiness she’s obtained since she was unceremoniously dropped from it isn’t worth compromising.
“You know what? I have no desire to, ” she said. “I turned the page. I love being happy. I love living drama-free. My kids are happy. I’m able to enjoy life.”
And while Parks could go toe to toe with the best of ’em in terms of her talent for shade and quick-witted comebacks, she admitted to the paparazzi that constantly being at odds with other women about one thing or another on the show was starting to take a toll on her physically.
“It had a physical effect on me,” she said. “It makes you sick sometimes because it’s a lot to deal with. Any woman that does reality, they should be congratulated and praised because, honey, it’s a lot to it and people don’t really understand until they have done it. God delivered me. When he sets you free, you can’t go back.”
Parks was reportedly cut from the series in May following the drama surrounding rumors she helped to circulate that Kandi Burruss tried to drug Porsha Williams in the hopes of taking advantage of her. That lie spiraled out of control and came to a head at the reunion show that same month.
Parks probably isn’t missing that opportunity as much as people might think considering that she has always been known as a woman with many jobs, including being a lawyer, being part of the mortuary business and most recently, signing a contract with Wilhemina Models. And when you think about how rough that reunion was, she’s likely relieved to have had her peach snatched.
