The Greater Houston Frontiers Club hosted its 30th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast. For the past 30 years the GHFC has awarded over $2 million in scholarship funds. GHFC president Donnell Cooper and event chairperson Karen Levingston-Franklin proudly awarded Emmy Award-winning TV producer Rushion McDonald the Drum Major Award for his professional excellence and commitment to education. Attendees included emcee Len Cannon, U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, Mayor Sylvester Turner, Trustee Wanda Adams, ZaDarius Webber, Nia Wesley, Andrew White, Ricky Anderson, TSU Pres. Austin Lane, Vince Ryan, Debbi Dillard, Tracey Harrell, HPD Chief Art Acevedo and many others.
