Comcast teamed with the Houston Hispanic Forum (HHF) to host Comcast Techpak, an all-day affair held at HCC West Loop Campus that engaged K-12 students in critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving while enjoying STEM-focused Lego engineering, App coding, drone operations classes and competitions. HHF interim director Sineria Ordoñez, along with Misha McClure (Comcast) worked with Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers volunteers and HCC STEM faculty who taught, tutored and supported participants during the day’s activities. Attendees included Adrienne Sanchez, Claudia Unietis, Nila Williams, Manuel Rodriguez, Melvin Barios-Soto, Katie Thibodeaux, Narges DeBarry, Britney Hopkins, Esmeralda Jimenez, and hundreds more.
