The Earl Carl Institute for Legal and Social Policy, Inc. celebrated 25 years of pursuing and promoting policy changes for the betterment of the urban community via programs like the ECI Juvenile Justice Project, the Thurgood Marshall School of Law Innocence Project and more. Georgia Provost and Judge Bill Littlejohn served as event emcees, while words of greetings and appreciation were given by several guests including Congressman Al Green, State Reps. Senfronia Thompson and Ron Reynolds, TSU Provost Dr. Bobby Wilson and NAACP Houston President Dr. James Douglas, who acknowledged the work of ECI founder Dr. Marcia Johnson. ECI director Sarah Guidry welcomed attendees like Naomi Andrews, who raised over $5,000 for the ECI, Dr. Docia Rudley, Dr. Robert Ford, Dr. Charlette Milton, Tony Horton, Danny Norris and others.
