This year’s For the Sake of Art (FSOA) wearable art competition again celebrated the vibrant talent of emerging artists and designers while highlighting the permanent collection of African American art at TSU’s University Museum. Museum curator Dr. Alvia Wardlaw and FSOA co-chairs Evelyn Washington, Gaynelle Drexler and Mary Auzenne welcomed special guests and noted art collectors Grant and Tamia Hill and a host of supporters while honoring art icons David Driskell and Radcliffe Bailey. Attendees included Cesar Galindo, Gayla Gardner, Angela Daniel, Damali Hill, Melanie Lawson, Selven Jarmon, Prinston Nnanna, Reagan Carey, Michelle Barnes and many more.
