The Houston Black Leadership Institute (HBLI), an intentional development program for the next generation of Houston’s African American leadership, recently celebrated its Class V graduation. With the newest 25 members of the HBLI to complete its intense nine-month program, the movement now has over 100 of the city’s best and brightest young professionals who are capable and willing to positively affect the social and economic challenges facing our communities. The ceremony took place in the Amegy Bank Building and was sponsored by the Greater Houston Black Chamber. Attendees included Diane Maben (Amegy), Courtney Johnson Rose, Jeffrey Wallace, Errol Allen II, Carol Hubbard, Ray Shackleford, Jane Udoewa, Amari Jones, Christa Stoneham, Simone Rixey, Kenneth Lavergne, Leeann Williams and many more.
