The NAACP Houston Branch recently hosted “Let’s Talk Education” as part of their Quarterly Conversational Series gathering community leaders, politicians and activists with expertise in the area of focused discussion. The dinner and conversation held at the Carl Walker Jr. Multi Purpose Center, featured a panel superintendents from Houston’s various ISDs, including Richard Carranza (HISD), H.D. Chambers (Alief), Charles Dupre (Fort Bend), and Angi Williams (Galena Park). Attendees included Dr. James Douglas, Yolanda Smith, Anthony Collier, Ellis Douglas, HCC Trustee Dr. Carolyn Evans-Shabazz, Terrill North, Trustee Rhonda Skillern-Jones, Artis Petterway, Sheria Hatcher, Porschia Harris and many more.
