The NAACP Houston Branch recently hosted the first leg of its 2019 ACT-SO competitions at the Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown. ACT-SO allows students in grades 9th – 12th to compete in numerous competitions including dance, biology, oratory, music, singing, entrepreneurship and more. The Culinary arts competition will be held April 27. Participants compete for the chance to advance to the National ACT-SO finals held during the NAACP’s annual convention this year in Detroit.
