The Zaid Group recently hosted Prayers For Our Ancestors, an event spotlighting local artists, entrepreneurs and progressive thinkers. Taking place at the Shrine Cultural and Events Center, the event featured a fashion show, live art, music, spoken word poetry, vending and a tour of the African Holocaust Museum. Several local artists were on hand including Jaja Gray, Amir Strong, Hilda Rueda, and Biko Walker. Event organizers Ali Zaid and Ohemaa Zaid welcomed other attendees, including Kanika McKinney, Anna Jackson, Alonzo Burton, Ron Cleveland, Hannah Ephraim, Brionna Rollins, Brianna Gant, Whitney East, Johnathan Alford, Nicholas Burrell, Eric Muhammad and many more.
