Houston’s bumper to bumper traffic is one of the city’s biggest drawbacks, but things are expected to clear up a bit in 2018.

Dozens of transportation projects across Harris County are expected to be completed in 2018, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

Using TxDOT’s interactive project trackerChron.com put together a list of projects, with a budget of at least $3 million, that are slated to (hopefully) finish by the end of the year.

Projects range from widening highways to maintenance or repair.

The biggest winner this year: Highway 290. Multiple segments of the Austin-to-Houston highway are getting a facelift and being widened to accommodate more traffic.
